APMP Qualification for PRINCE2 Practitioners Blended Learning Course

Watch this video to hear David Atkinson, Fellow of the APM and APMP trainer talk about the new course from ILX:

Background

The ever changing and dynamic nature of today’s projects highlights the need for pro-active management of people, the project strategy and approach, along with the application of sound commercial and project management techniques.

The APMP is an internationally recognised knowledge based qualification (IPMA Level D) that enables you to understand the breadth of skills required to successfully manage a project undertaking. This blended programme recognises the prior attainment of the PRINCE2 Practitioner Qualification and only tests those areas that have not previously been examined.

Content

The syllabus for the APMP for PRINCE2 Practitioner recognises prior learning and achievement. This qualification is based upon the Body of Knowledge v5 and assesses the breadth of knowledge in all areas of project management from strategic and commercial implications, to technical, organisational and people management skills required to participate effectively in project management. Why Blended Learning?

ILX combines interactive computer based training courses with intensive workshops which have been proven to significantly increase pass rates and students’ confidence in the subject matter.

Taking time out of the office for most people is difficult which is why this solution works extremely well. The initial part of the learning process is achieved by using a computer based approach with interactive CD-ROM. Each delegate is able to progress at his/her own pace on an individual basis and repeat sessions where necessary to obtain a better understanding.

The second part of the learning process is tutor led in a short but intensive workshop. This enables delegates to consolidate and extend their understanding of the fundamental principles of the subject.

What Have Others Said About The Course?

The course was exceptionally challenging but rewarding. I completed PRINCE2 as it was the most accepted qualification for Project Management however I’m so glad I choose to do the APMP for PRINCE2 Practitioners course. As with PRINCE2 course which I also did with ILX, the organisation, materials, tutoring and structure was faultless.

PRINCE2 provides a methodology but the APMP course gives you the tools to implement and tailor it to fit your industry and the project in hand. I personally feel that the two courses together give a student a broad and comprehensive knowledge of Project Management as a whole. The blended course allows PRINCE2 professionals to gain the APMP by complementing their prior knowledge without duplication."
