In today’s fast-paced and ever-changing world, project management has become an essential part of almost every industry. As a result, project and programme management skills are in high demand making it difficult to attract and retain talent.
Apprenticeships can help to address this challenge, as they provide an opportunity to fill skills gaps by training their current employees.
Project management relates to the systematic approach of planning, organising, and executing projects within a specific timeframe and budget. Essentially a project manager’s role is to ensure that projects run smoothly and efficiently, meeting or exceeding their objectives.
Designed in partnership with Woodspeen Training, the Project Management Associate Level 4 Apprenticeship, is a 15-18-month training and development programme, covering both theory and application through different delivery methods and learning experiences. Once complete, individuals will achieve the Association of Project Management (APM) Project Management Qualification (PMQ), a globally proven standard in the industry.
The apprenticeship is based on the 70:20:10 learning model: 70% of learning comes from experience, 20% derives from working with others and the final 10% comes from formal interventions and planned learning solutions.
Combining self-paced e-learning and virtual classroom training, the course covers all the knowledge, skills, and behaviours of project management, as defined by the APM. This includes:
All this contributes to a greater understanding of the processes involved in project management for the individual helping to ensure higher levels of project success for your organisation.
