Before you purchase

Before making a purchase, it’s natural to have questions. Whether it’s choosing the right study option or planning your budget, we’ll help you make an informed decision with confidence.

What are my study options?

We offer four different study options for learners. These are:

  • eLearning: Our interactive and engaging eLearning allows you to move through resources and activities at a time and pace that suits you.
  • Classroom: Our in-person classroom courses provide an interactive and collaborative learning environment, where you’ll benefit from the knowledge and passion our trainers bring to the subject.
  • Live virtual classroom: Our virtual courses provide the personal teaching experience of a classroom with the ease and flexibility of a virtual environment. All the benefits, without the travel.
  • Blended: Combine our eLearning with face-to-face training. Study the Foundation certification at your own pace, then use the Practitioner workshop to put the theory into practice with guidance from one of our expert trainers.

What are the available payment options?

Investing in your professional growth and continuous learning can be an expensive process, which is why we offer multiple payment options when purchasing your course.

  • Pay by credit/debit card – once processed, a VAT receipt will be issued 
  • Bank transfer – we can send you our details so you can make a payment 
  • PayPal pay in 3 interest-free payments 
  • SplitIt – choose to spread the cost over three, six or 12 months
  • We can issue a pro-forma invoice for full payment to be made 
  • Provide a purchase order and we can invoice your company on 30-day payment terms

Are all the courses accredited?

Most of the courses we offer at ILX are accredited by globally recognised examining bodies, ensuring they meet industry standards and provide valuable qualifications. However, we also provide non-accredited courses designed to support professional development and practical skill-building. The course details should clearly indicate whether it is accredited, but if you are unsure, please get in touch and our customer service team would be happy to guide you through the options.

Do you have courses available in other languages?

The main language of all our courses is English. However, we can also provide our PRINCE2® and PRINCE2 Agile® courses in German or Dutch, and our ITIL® 4 training in German.

Online learning and additional resources

Our online learning and additional resources are designed to provide a seamless training experience. These answers will help ensure you make the most of all available resources.

How do I access my online manual/eBook?

All PeopleCert Foundation and Foundation & Practitioner courses come with a digital version of the manual. If you have chosen an eLearning course, you will be sent an email within 48 hours of your purchase to register on the PeopleCert portal. And then once registered, you will be able to access the online manual.

For all live virtual in-person classroom courses that include a digital manual or eBook, you will be sent an email invitation approximately two days before your course starts to register on the relevant examining body’s online portal. Once registered you will be able to access the digital version of your manual. 

PLEASE NOTE: For PeopleCert manuals, you will only have access to the online version for five years. PeopleCert courses include PRINCE2, PRINCE2 Agile, MSP ®, MoP ®, P3O ®, M_o_R ® and ITIL.

When will I get the hard copy of my manual?

If you decide to purchase a hard copy of the course manual, this will be shipped to your chosen address approximately two weeks before the start of your live virtual or in-person classroom course, or within 48 hours of purchase if you have opted for an eLearning course.

How do I access the digital course materials for my live virtual classroom training?

These will be accessible via the ILX Portal. Approximately two weeks before the start of your course, you will be sent a list of full instructions including a link to the portal. The course materials will be provided in a PDF format and available to download. 

When will I receive the hard copy of my process map?

If you decide to purchase a hard copy of the course process map, this will be shipped to your chosen address approximately two weeks prior to the start of your course, or within 48 hours of purchase if you have opted for an eLearning course.

How do I access my eLearning course?

Once you have completed the purchase of your eLearning course, you will be sent an email with login details for our digital ILX portal – then all you need is an internet connection. We recommend you don’t try to access the portal on devices that are smaller than a tablet, as the content will not display correctly on a mobile phone.

Booking your exam

Taking any exam is a stressful process, but we’re here to make it as straightforward as possible. Get all the details you need to confidently prepare for your exam.

How do I book my exam?

Booking your exam through ILX is easy. At point of purchase, you will be given an exam redemption code and details of how to book your exam, using this code. Look out for the relevant information in the email you receive following your purchase. 

Once you’re ready to take your exam, fill out the form on our exam bookings page, to redeem your voucher. 

How long does my exam voucher last?

All exam vouchers last for 12 months from the point of purchase.

If you bought an eLearning course, your exam redemption code will be issued via email within 24 hours of purchase. If you bought a live virtual or in-person classroom course, you’ll be sent an email two working days before the start date of your course to register on the relevant exam body’s exam portal.

When you are ready to take your exam, you can redeem your code on our exam bookings page at which point you will be able to access your official exam voucher from the accrediting body. Once issued, the length of validity for your exam voucher will vary depending on the examining body.

What do I do if I lose my exam voucher code?

Where can I take my exam?

All exams are taken online via remote web proctor. Find out more about the online exam process.

What are the technical requirements for sitting the online exam?

Each examining body has different technical requirements before taking one of their online exams. It is your responsibility to ensure you have the correct technical set up before taking your exam. The full list of requirements is available on our online exams page, please ensure you check these before booking your exam.

Making changes to your course or exam

We understand that plans change, which is why we try to be as flexible as possible in terms of rescheduling a course or exam date.

Can I change or cancel my exam date?

If you wish to reschedule your exam at any point, please email exambookings@ilxgroup.com. Please be aware that charges may by applicable for exam extension, cancellation or transference, we will advise what these are upon request. 

Can I cancel or change my course date?

If you would like to cancel or change your course date, please get in touch via contactus@ilxgroup.com and our team will be able to advise you. We cannot guarantee that this will be possible, and depending on the time until your course date, there may be an additional charge associated with any cancellations or transference. 

What happens if I fail my exam?

Please email exambookings@ilxgroup.com who will advise on the cost of a new exam voucher and how you can purchase it. Re-sit exam vouchers will be offered as online exams, not paper-based exams, and must be redeemed within two months of purchase. 

If you purchased Take2 or Pass Protect when you bought your training course, you will be able to re-sit your exam free of charge. Find out more about our exam re-sit services.

Once I have passed my exam, how will I receive my certificate?

Most exam certificates are issued within two to three weeks of your exam date, however, during busy periods this can take up to six weeks. You will receive your certificate via email from the associated examining body, unless you are taking one of the software testing exams from BCS, in which case this will be sent in the post.
