This course introduces black box and white box testing. Black box testing focuses on input-output functionality and is typically used by testers focusing on functionality from an end-user perspective, ensuring the software behaves as expected based on requirements. While white box testing is used by developers or technical testers to evaluate the internal workings of the code, such as logic, paths, and conditions. They are complementary techniques that can be used together or in different contexts, depending on project needs. 

Understand the key activities within the testing process; test monitoring which is for tracking testing progress against planned objectives, identifying any deviations or issues, and gathering metrics to evaluate performance; test control for helping you take corrective actions when aligning testing activities with the project plan, addressing delays, resource constraints, or defects; and test completion, an activity conducted when you’re finalising testing tasks, such as analysing results, creating reports, and ensuring testware (like test cases) is documented for future use. These activities ensure testing is efficient, transparent, and aligned with project goals, contributing to high-quality software delivery.
