The CAPM certification is a globally recognised credential that equips professionals with the foundational project management knowledge and skills needed to excel in many diverse industries.
How do I book my Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) exam?
The CAPM exam is not included as part of this course. You will need to apply to the Project Management Institute (PMI) before you can sit the exam. There’s a strict protocol which needs to be carried out, including authenticating all prerequisite criteria has been met, before you can sit the exam. To understand the PMI process, we recommend you review the CAPM handbook.
Please note that if you become a PMI member you receive several benefits including reduced exam rates and a free download of the PMBOK Guide. You can find more information regarding membership on the PMI website.
How do I access my CAPM pre-course work?
If you choose to take this course using our classroom study option, there is a set of mandatory pre-course work that must be completed ahead of your training. This is expected to take four to six hours to complete. You will be sent a full list of instructions, along with a link to your pre-course work, within 48 hours of your booking.
To achieve your completion certificate, all pre-course work must be completed.
Does the Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) certification expire?
Yes, your CAPM certification requires renewal every five years. Visit the PMI website to find out more about how to renew your certification.
Do I need any prior experience to take the CAPM course?
You don’t need any previous project management experience to take the CAPM course, but you will need to have:
- A secondary degree, such as a high school diploma, GED (general educational development), or global equivalent
- Completed at least 23 contact hours of project management education before the exam
