Why has Change Management been updated?

First released in 2006, the Change Management certification is now entering its third regeneration. Changes in the business landscape over the last ten years, mean the previous version, launched in 2015, no longer addresses all the challenges and demands faced by change managers.

What’s new in Change Management V3?

Version 3 introduces a range of new topics, and simplifies the content included, making it easier to digest and adopt. These changes include:

• Advice for the use of metrics and data analytics in change management
• A focus on the idea that change is a continuous, not linear, process
• Greater emphasis on managing collaborative approaches
• Guidance on building soft skills such as leadership, conflict resolution and teamwork
• New ‘change in practice’ examples

What’s staying the same?

While there are changes in the new syllabus, core elements around the context of change, strategies for people management and change management principles are still included. Most importantly, the qualification remains an invaluable resource for change managers across the globe looking to improve their capabilities.
