Communication: Building and managing stakeholder relationships Classroom

Insightful observations and easy to use tools will help you manage even the most difficult and demanding of stakeholders.

Course overview

About the course

"20% of your stakeholders will cause 80% of your sleepless nights"

Comments about Pareto’s 80/20 when rule applied to stakeholder management.

Successfully managing a stakeholder relationship can be critical to success. When we get stakeholders ‘on side’ everything becomes easier. But when we fail to engage them correctly workloads can increase, projects can be delayed or even fail, and put simply – everything becomes much harder work! The good news is that by applying a few simple frameworks and making sure we ask the right questions, even the most difficult stakeholder can become easy to work with. This is true whether that stakeholder is an internal colleague, external client or partner, or even your manager. This workshop will share effective and easy to use tools for understanding your stakeholders, methods for prioritising multiple competing requests, and even how to say ‘no’ - in a way that leaves the stakeholder saying ‘thank-you’.
