There are no formal Prerequisites for the ITIL 4 Foundation. For both Direct, Plan & Improve and Digital & IT Strategy, you must hold a valid certification in ITIL v3 or ITIL 4 Foundation. In addition, for Digital & IT Strategy, you must supply evidence confirming a minimum of three years of IT managerial experience.
Yes, to remain current you must renew your certifications within three years of the award date. There are many different ways you can recertify. Visit the PeopleCert website to learn more.
