The remote web proctor solution allows you to take your exams online, using a webcam, microphone and a stable internet connection.

Schedule your exam when it's convenient for you

You can schedule your exam, at a date and time of your choice. At the agreed time you will connect with a proctor who will invigilate your exam live. This service is available for all our PeopleCert, APM, APMG and BCS exams, the full list of included exams is listed below. Just keep in mind that booking your exam is your responsibility.

PeopleCert

You can use the online remote proctor service for PRINCE2®, PRINCE2 Agile®, MSP®, MoP®, P3O®, M_o_R® and ITIL®. Following the purchase of your training course, we’ll email you within 48 hours with an invitation to register on the PeopleCert portal. Once you’re set up, you can book your exam for a date and time that works best for you.

For open book exams, you can only use the official hard copy books or e-books from VitalSource, but the e-books must be accessed on a separate device.

APM

The online exams available from APM are PFQ, PMQ, APM Risk 1, APM Risk 2 and PPQ.

APMG

You can take your APMG International Change Management™, Better Business Cases™, APMG International Managing Benefits™, APMG International Project Planning and Control™, AgilePM®, AgileBA®, AgileDS™, Praxis Framework™, Scrum Master, Scrum Product Owner, APMG International Agile Change Agent™, APMG International Earned Value™, and APMG International Finance for Non-Financial Managers™ exams online.

BCS

From BCS, the Business Analysis Foundation, Modelling Business Processes, Requirements Engineering, Business Analysis Practice, and Software Testing Foundation exams all use the remote proctor service.

On the day of your exam

Please ensure:

  • You have the required ID available to show the proctor
  • Where applicable provide evidence of any required pre-requisites
  • You’re the only person in the room throughout the exam
  • There is no background noise in the room
  • There is adequate light, but none directed towards the camera
  • Your desk is clean
  • Close applications that may affect the exam, e.g. web browsers, chats

Technical requirements

It is your responsibility to ensure you have the correct technical setup before taking your exam. Each of the examining bodies provide different guidance for what is needed, so please check the information under the relevant tab below.

PeopleCert for Windows

Your computer must meet the following system requirements:

  • Windows® 11, Windows® 10 (Windows 10S is not supported), Windows® 8.1, Windows® 8. The Exam Shield Microsoft Store version is only available to Windows 10 version 17763 or later
  • Dual-core 2.4GHz CPU or faster with 2GB of RAM (minimum requirements)
  • Active Full-Time/Broadband internet connection (at least 4Mbps)
  • 16-bit monitor (at least 15”) with screen resolution 1024 x 768 or higher
  • Speakers and microphone (headsets only allowed during onboarding)
  • Keyboard and mouse or another pointing device (keyboard set to English characters)
  • Single rotatable web camera (embedded or external – no mobile phone)

PeopleCert for Mac

Your computer must meet the following system requirements:

  • macOS Sierra (10.12), macOS High Sierra (10.13), macOS Mojave (10.14), macOS Catalina (10.15) macOS Big Sur (11) or macOS Monterey (12)
  • Mac compatible web camera (no mobile phone) and microphone (for Mac Mini and Mac Pro)
  • Active Full-Time/Broadband internet connection (at least 4Mbps)
  • Keyboard and mouse or any other pointing device (keyboard set to English characters)
  • Speakers and microphone (headsets only allowed during onboarding)

APM

APM offers remote online exam proctoring via the Surpass assessment platform.

APMG

APMG International offers remote online exam proctoring via ProctorU. 

The technical specification is available on the ProctorU website, along with the ability to test your equipment prior to booking your exam. It is your responsibility to ensure you have the system capability to run the exam.

BCS

BCS offers remote online exams proctoring via Questionmark.

The technical specification is available on the Questionmark website, along with the ability to test your equipment prior to booking your exam. BCS have also produced a candidate guide to assist examination takers. We recommend you familiarise yourself with this document prior to booking your exam. It is your responsibility to ensure you have the system capability to run the exam.

Our online exam process is designed to be straightforward and accessible, allowing you to focus on performing your best in a controlled environment that fits your schedule.

When can I take my exam?

Exams can be taken 24 hours a day, seven days a week. During your exam, you will be connected to a live person who will be there to guide you through the process and assist with any technical issues. 

When will I receive my exam results from PeopleCert, APMG and BCS?

PeopleCert: A preliminary result will be displayed on screen once you have finished your exam. The official results of your test are issued within 2 business days from the date of the exam. 

APMG: A provisional score will be displayed on screen once you have finished your exam. Formal confirmation of your result will be emailed to you within two working days. 

BCS: A provisional score will be displayed on screen once you have finished your exam. BCS will confirm the result, and this will be displayed in the candidate portal within 1 week of the exam being taken. 

When will I receive my exam results from APM?

PFQ: An indicative result will be displayed on your screen once you’ve finished your exam. Formal confirmation of your result will be emailed to you within two weeks.

PMQ: Your results will be emailed to you within ten weeks. 

APM Risk 1: An indicative result will be displayed on screen once you’ve finished your exam. Formal confirmation of your result will be emailed to you within two weeks.

APM Risk 2: You will be advised of your results within a maximum of 10 weeks.

PPQ: You will be advised of your results within a maximum of 10 weeks.

How do I cancel my exam?

If you wish to reschedule or cancel your exam at any point, please email exambookings@ilxgroup.com. Please be aware that charges may be applicable for cancellation or transference, we will advise what these are upon request. You cannot extend a voucher or code that has already expired. Instead, you will need to repurchase at full RRP.
