What is Lean Six Sigma?
Lean Six Sigma is a methodology for process improvement that combines the principles of Lean and Six Sigma to provide a comprehensive approach that maximises efficiency, minimises waste, and enhances quality.
How long is the Lean Six Sigma course?
With our Lean Six Sigma e-learning you'll have access to the course materials for 12 months. The Yellow Belt course is expected to take approximately 10 hours to complete, and the Green Belt and Black Belt courses will take approximately 16 hours.
How many belts in Lean Six Sigma?
The Lean Six Sigma learning pathway comprises of five levels:
- Lean Six Sigma White Belt - introduces the methodology, the fundamental concepts, and the principles of Lean Six Sigma, so you can understand how it has been applied to your workplace processes.
- Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt - at this level you will have a basic understanding of the LSS methodology and will cover the specifics of what it is and how its disciplines are applied to the workplace. You will be able to actively support projects that are run by Green and Black Belts.
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt - building on the knowledge gained in the Yellow Belt course, learners will gain a more in-depth understanding of the Lean Six Sigma methodology and the tools they can use to drive improvements in quality, efficiency and customer satisfaction. Green Belts will lead and manage process improvement projects and will know how to implement Lean Six Sigma.
- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt - at this level you are considered an expert in the Lean Six Sigma methodology. The Black Belt course equips individuals with the skills, knowledge and tools needed to lead complex process improvement projects, drive significant organisational change and deliver measurable business results.
- Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt - this represents the top of the Lean Six Sigma certification scheme. By the time you reach this level, you would have extensive experience and are considered an expert change leader.

How to get certified in Lean Six Sigma?
