FAQs

Scrum is a hands-on way to manage projects, helping teams work together smoothly and adapt quickly. Training courses will cover Scrum basics, roles, sprints, and tools – everything you need to run a project with confidence.

What is Scrum?

Scrum is an Agile framework for the management and delivery of complex projects. It encourages teams to focus on collaboration, adaptability and continuous improvement, helping them to streamline workflows and respond quickly to changes.

What is the difference between a Scrum Master and a Scrum Product Owner?

The Scrum Master plays a crucial role in supporting any Agile team and ensuring they follow the Scrum framework effectively. They are responsible for facilitating team dynamics, resolving conflicts, removing barriers to progress, and driving organisational change to ensure successful delivery of value.

The Scrum Product Owner focuses on managing the product backlog. They work closely with stakeholders to define the product vision and ensure that the team delivers an output which meets their standards. The Product Owner is responsible for prioritising tasks based on business goals and customer needs, helping the team deliver maximum value with each sprint.

What is a sprint in Scrum?

A sprint is a fixed-length cycle, usually lasting 1-4 weeks, during which the Scrum team works on a set of tasks. At the end of each sprint, the team reviews progress, demonstrates the increment to stakeholders, and gathers feedback for future sprints.

How does Scrum differ from traditional project management?

Unlike traditional, or waterfall, project management, which often follows a liner, sequential process. Scrum is an Agile framework which operates in iterative sprints. This approach enables frequent reassessment and adaptation of project goals based on feedback, helping teams to address changes quickly and continuously improve the final product.
