APMG-International Better Business Cases™ Practitioner Virtual

If you’re based at home but prefer the collaborative nature of a classroom environment, our virtual courses are just what you’re looking for.

Course overview

About the course

The course and examination are based on The Five Case Model, the UK government’s best practice approach to planning spending proposals and enabling effective business decisions. This provides a step by step guide to developing a business case, by:

  • Establishing a clear need for intervention - a case for change
  • Setting clear objectives - what you want to achieve from the investment
  • Considering a wide range of potential solutions - ensuring an optimal balance of benefits, cost and risk
  • Putting the arrangements in place to successfully deliver the proposal

The purpose of the Practitioner qualification is to confirm whether the candidate has achieved sufficient understanding of the theory and application of the Five Case Model to allow them to effectively develop and produce a business case. A successful Practitioner candidate should be able to start applying the model to a real project.

What is virtual classroom training?

ILX’s virtual instructor-led training combines the personal teaching experience of a classroom, with the ease and flexibility of a virtual environment. Our virtual courses are interactive and engaging, allowing participants to communicate with both the instructor and each other in a collaborative manner.

Duration

This is an intensive three-day course that prepares you for the Better Business Cases Practitioner examination. The training is conducted via a virtual training environment. You need to ensure that you can satisfy the technical requirements that can be found on our website here.

By the end of this Practitioner course you should be able to apply and understand how to tailor the Five Case Model effectively to the development of a business case within an organisation environment supporting the approach. Specifically:
