About the course

This two-day virtual classroom course helps prepare you for Earned Value Management Foundation examination. Earned Value Management is a good practice approach used for the planning, management and control of projects and programmes. The Earned Value Management Foundation qualification is designed to determine if an individual’s knowledge of Earned Value is sufficient to allow the individual to contribute to the formal process of Earned Value Management.

Duration

This is an intensive two-day course that helps prepare you for the Earned Value Foundation examination. The training is conducted via a virtual training environment. You need to ensure that you can satisfy the technical requirements that can be found on our website here.

Materials

Digital ILX course materials: These will be accessible via the ILX portal. Full instructions with a link to the portal will be issued at point of purchase. The course materials will be provided in a PDF format and available for download.

Hard copy official manual: The hard copy official manual will be shipped to your chosen address approximately two weeks prior to course commencement.

Exam information

Exams are taken online via remote proctor. Two weeks prior to course commencement ILX will arrange for an exam voucher to be issued. You will then be able to book a suitable time after your virtual classroom event has finished to undertake your exam.

Note: You are responsible for booking your own exam(s).

Exam format

The format of the Foundation exam is as follows:

40 questions per paper
26 marks or more required to pass (out of 40 available) - 65%
60 minutes duration
Closed book

Pre-requisites

There are no formal prerequisites however this course is ideally for individuals who understand the Earned Value Management APM guidelines, and who are currently actively involved, or are likely to be actively involved, in an Earned Value project environment.
