Management of Risk (M_o_R)® 3rd Edition Practitioner Classroom

You should be able to apply and understand how to tailor M_o_R effectively within an organization environment supporting M_o_R. Specifically you should for any organizational perspective:

• Understand the relationships between the four elements of the M_o_R framework
• Be able to apply the principles, approach, processes and techniques
• Be able to review and make recommendations to embed the M_o_R framework
• Be able to create and assess any of the M_o_R framework documents

The course gives the delegates an opportunity to practice practitioner-style questions in preparation for the Practitioner paper by integrating the following:

• ILX Group’s unique ‘Preparing for the M_o_R Practitioner examination’ workbook
• A review of the entire M_o_R approach
• Syndicate and individual scenario-based exercises

This is an intensive two-day course that includes the following:

• All accompanying ILX course material (hardcopy)
• Online pre-course
• The cost of the M_o_R Practitioner examination (valid for 12 months from purchase date. Exam must be taken online via remote proctor)

Important : Please note you will require a copy of the official M_o_R manual for the M_o_R Practitioner course and exam. This is not included in the cost of the course. Should you wish to purchase the manual you can add it to your shopping cart once you have selected your chosen date.  

Materials

Hardcopy course material : You will be provided with a printed version of the ILX course material. This will be issued on day one of your course.

Hardcopy official manual: If you decide to purchase the official manual as an optional extra your manual will be shipped to your chosen address within 48 hours of purchase.

Exams are taken online via remote proctor. You will be sent an email invitation approximately two working days prior to course commencement to register on the Peoplecert portal. Once registered you will be able to book your online exam at a date and time of your choice. You are responsible for booking your own exam. Recertification: This certification has a renew within three years of the award date to remain current. There are multiple ways to recertify, more information regarding the options can be found here.

Exam format

Open book paper (Only the M_o_R guidance book and part A of the ABC guidance is allowed)

• Four questions
• Three hours duration
• 80 marks available
• 50% pass mark (40/80)

The course will be of benefit to all levels of management including:

• Corporate managers – responsible for corporate governance and the organisation’s overall exposure to risk.
• Programme managers – responsible for risk relating to specific programmes.
• Project managers – responsible for managing risk in projects.
• Operational managers – responsible for risks that affect the on-going continuity of business services.
• All other personnel who have an interest or responsibility for the Management of Risk within their organisation

You will ideally have an understanding of risk management. Those wishing to take the M_o_R Practitioner examination must already hold the Foundation exam certificate.

Pre-course

A concentrated course that requires you to complete mandatory online pre-course study, which is designed to take approximately three to four hours to complete. Full instructions with a link to the online pre-course will be issued within 48 hours of your confirmed booking.
