About the course

The Praxis Framework™ is a combination of four types of best practice guidance; Knowledge, Method, Competency and Capability and is the first free framework to integrate projects, programmes and portfolios in a single guide. Praxis Foundation equips you with an understanding of project and programme functions and the processes and documentation used to manage lifecycle phases. It will enable you to work effectively as part of any project or programme management team. The purpose of the Practitioner qualification is to confirm whether the candidate has achieved sufficient understanding of how to apply and tailor Praxis in a scenario situation.

Duration

The approximate study time for Praxis Foundation is 23 hours and for Praxis Practitioner is 12 hours

Learning objectives

By the end of this course, you will:

Understand the characteristics and context of a project and a programme and the benefits of effective P3 management
Understand the purpose of the Praxis framework, the P3 roles, documents and functions, and their use in the Praxis process models
Recognise and understand the goals and activities within the Praxis process models and how they interface
Understand the importance and goals of interpersonal skills in the P3 environment, and their recognised models
Be able to apply the roles, functions, techniques, and processes to a P3 scenario
Be able to create and assess P3 documents for a given scenario
Understand the relationships between the roles, documents, functions, techniques, and processes

Foundation:

75 simple multiple-choice questions
60 minutes duration
Closed book
50% pass mark (38 marks out of 75)

Practitioner:

Complex multiple-choice questions
Two and a half hours duration
Open book (only the Praxis Framework can be referred to)
50% pass mark (40 marks out of 80)

Pre-requisites
