About the course

Project Planning & Control supports the publication of the APM's guide, ‘Planning, Scheduling, Monitoring and Control – The Practical Project Management of Time, Cost and Risk.’

It provides guidance and best practice for project planning and control and is applicable across all industries and sectors. By the end of the learning you will have achieved sufficient understanding of the theory and application of the tools and techniques to allow you to work successfully in a Project Support team environment.

Duration

It is expected to take approximately 17 hours to complete this learning.

The exam in not included with this course but you can purchase as an optional extra via the basket option.

The PPC Practitioner exam is taken online via remote proctor. For more information about how to take your exam and the technical requirements, please click here. 

Exam format

  • Complex multiple choice
  • 8 question paper with 10 marks available per question
  • 40 marks required to pass (out of 80 available) – 50%
  • 200 minute (3 hrs 20 mins) duration
  • Open-book (Project Planning & Control guide only)

It is recommended that a Practitioner candidate has a minimum of three years’ experience in a planning and monitoring role. In addition, if you want to sit the Practitioner exam you must have passed the PPC Foundation exam prior to undertaking the Practitioner examination.
