Also, explore continual improvement techniques to enhance organisational efficiency and improve service delivery. 

ITIL 4 Direct, Plan & Improve

Gain the practical skills to optimise IT service delivery. You’ll learn how to integrate governance, use continual improvement techniques, and enhance value streams for greater efficiency. Additionally, the course focuses on communication, organisational change, and measurement strategies, enabling you to drive effective improvements and align IT operations with organisational goals.

How is the learning path delivered?

Both of these courses are available as eLearning, and you have access for 12 months. Learn more about our eLearning study option

How are the exams structured?

The exam formats are as follows: 

  • ITIL 4 Foundation: 60 minutes, 40 multiple choice questions, closed book, 65% pass mark  
  • ITIL 4 Direct, Plan and Improve: 90 minutes, 40 multiple choice questions, closed book, 70% pass mark 

Do the two certifications expire?

Yes, to remain current you must renew your certifications within three years of the award date. There are many different ways you can recertify. Visit the PeopleCert website to learn more. 

Is there a difference between ITIL 4 Foundation and ITIL 4 Direct, Plan and Improve?

Yes, there is a difference between the two. The Foundation course introduces you to the ITIL 4 guidance, concepts, tools, and techniques to give you a broad understanding of IT service management. Direct, Plan and Improve is a higher-level module that builds on this foundation by teaching you strategic methods for planning, governance, and continual improvement, ensuring IT services are aligned with organisational goals.
