ILX Team
Inclusive concept, hands around people

According to a survey from Wildgoose, 1 in 5 people employees don’t believe they work for an inclusive company. At ILX we don’t want our employees to feel this way, which is why four years ago we committed to improving our Diversity, Inclusion, Equality and Belonging (DEIB) policies.

What has been achieved by the DEIB Group so far?

In the summer of 2020, a number of ILX employees came together to form, what has since become, the DEIB Group. Since its creation, this collection of employees has been working hard to make change at ILX.

In a short amount of time they have achieved a lot, including:

  • Creating a podcast series centred around diversity and inclusion at work discussing topics including age, gender, religion, race, mental health, and more
  • Implementing a training programme that has enabled half our workforce to become Mental Health First Aiders, putting these individuals in a position to effectively support other employees with their mental health concerns when needed
  • Improving our maternity policy to better support new mothers across the organisation
  • Offering neurodiversity training internally to educate employees on how best to work with neurodiverse colleagues
  • Enhancing education across the organisation of the issues faced by employees experiencing the menopause or perimenopause

And there’s lots more planned for the coming months.

Our annual diversity survey

To support the efforts of our DEIB Group, and paint a picture of the current situation at ILX, we run an annual diversity survey for our employees. Through the anonymous survey, employees are encouraged to answer questions regarding their age, gender, sexual orientation, religion, ethnicity, etc.
