What is portfolio management?

Portfolio management is the process of strategically aligning an organisation’s projects and programmes with its overall goals to maximise value and achieve long-term success. It involves prioritising initiatives, optimising resource allocation, managing risks, and balancing change with stable operations. By viewing projects collectively, portfolio management enables informed decision-making that supports organisational growth and adaptability. 

How long does the MoP course take?

You can take the Foundation and Practitioner qualifications separately or as a combined course. There are also different study options available: 

  • Foundation, the eLearning takes approximately 12 hours to complete, and you have access to the online learning materials for 12 months. The classroom and live virtual classroom options are both three-days in duration  
  • Practitioner, the classroom and live virtual classroom options are both two-days in duration 
  • Foundation & Practitioner, the classroom and live virtual classroom options are both five-days in duration. For the blended course, the Foundation eLearning takes approximately 12 hours to complete, and the Practitioner classroom or live virtual classroom is two-days in duration
