This learning path is structured in six steps, and then there are seven electives – here’s an outline of each step:
Step 1 – Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP®): this step covers the core concept model of business analysis and the six knowledge areas of the BABOK® Guide Version 3, and will prepare you for the IIBA-CBAP exam. It’ll also teach you business analysis skills, including advanced documentation, effective planning, and the design of business solutions. On completion of this step, you’ll have knowledge of:
Step 2 – Tableau Training: in this step, learners will be taught how to build visualisations, organise data, and design charts and dashboards. concepts of Data Visualization, different combo charts, and stories, working with filters, parameters, and sets, and building interactive dashboards. By the end of this step, you’ll be able to:
Step 3 – Data Analysis and Visualization with Python: this step has been developed in collaboration with IBM and will help learners to perform statistical analyses and create meaningful data visualizations using Python. Learners will also be taught how to prepare data for analysis, perform simple statistical analyses, create meaningful data visualizations and predict future trends from data. At the end of this step you’ll be able to:
Step 4 – Mathematical Optimization for Business Problems: this step has also been developed in collaboration with IBM and will enable learners to construct optimisation models to solve business problems. This step will also teach you different aspects of mathematical programming to construct optimisation models using IBM Decision Optimization technology. When you have completed this step, you’ll be able to:
Step 5 – Business Analyst Capstone: this is a hands-on step that will help you enhance the Business Analysis skills that you’ve learnt in other steps into one portfolio worthy capstone. Learners will have the opportunity to choose from three industries to work on in their Capstone project: Online Pantry, E-Fixed Deposits or Restaurant Management System. Learners will also be provided with high-touch mentoring sessions with expert industry trainers for eight hours over a span of four weeks.
Step 6 – Harvard Business Publishing Case Studies for Business Analysis: these case studies will enable learners to analyse business situations and different aspects of managerial decision-making to help you solve business problems., using real-world case studies that have been authored by Harvard Business School professors and other top business school educators.
After all steps have been completed in line with the required criteria, learners will receive a ‘Certificate of Achievement’ from Simplilearn and a certificate from IBM. As part of the learning path, learners will also have access to these electives:
